Unless you're running a mega-long overlap cam, I'd say that's far too high for any form of forced induction on pump fuel, and is unrealistic even NA

A biggish bore two valve chamber over a bowl piston crown just is not going to be anything like efficient enough to run even 10:1 on 98 RON under any load - a flat top piston with infinitely more quench maybe but that's not us

My old engine had 11.3:1 cr and produced 308 bhp at 5K RPM. It ran lean above 5k so had to change injectors, then it ran near 320 bhp but ignition needed regarding due to pinking with the high cr

Ah, now you're getting technical!
I haven't the time in my life to fully understand this so will leave it up to you guys and enjoy the read.

I'll stick to hunting down new tyres that I desperately need.

O/T. 265/35/18 R888 at least £220 each!!!

Lower the C/R; you won't wear them out as quick (or as quickly) wink

That's a sad state of affairs, I've been wondering what tyres to go for on my 17" wheels,
It won't be those I'm sad to say frown
Looks like I'll stick with road tyres and never ever wear them out laugh
I'm sure I used to buy 4 cart slicks for £100

Oddly enough and many years ago I had a 'factory' 4.5 engine that even had 4.5 cast into the plenum.

Confirmed and measured the CR is 11.3:1 with Elring 1.28mm gaskets. A little chamber work and 60 thou MLS gaskets will bring the CR into the 10's. On Vpower at least and VP racing fuel for the strip it will be fine (famous last words).

As for the left bank of tilted pistons I am still not happy and will be talking to Roland some more and may have to take the engine back to him to investigate and put right. May even have him build and dyno if the price is right.

The engine is going back to ACR and they have agreed to build it free of labour charge. Now considering an ECU upgrade. Either Omex710 or Pectel which I've never heard of.
