It'll be tight Alun but if both Dom & I keep to my schedule it should be remapped (after full running in) at the end of the week before. I'll keep you posted with how it's going & pop in for a cuppa, if you'll have me!

I realise you've only just got back from your epic trip, but how's yours going?

Tha car feels good Rich,,to go from an intimate relationship with a bike for over three weeks then jump in the Tvr, it's like home from home and the cars better than I give it credit,
I'll be chatting to Dom next week regards mapping too.
Yep we can meet up for a brew, gust give me a bell, see what I'm doing,,,,

Looking like motor will be properly run in but not remapped in time for Bedford unfortunately. Not sure if still to join in & manage with below expected performance or see if I can hold my booking over a couple of weeks to the next GT circuit day in November? It'll be a shorter day (daylight), and probably risky weather by then and don't yet know if transfer is possible this close to the day in any case without losing too much of my payment?

Any advice from previous experience appreciated, I'll call Bedford tomorrow in any case.

Richard, what's the latest with Doms rolling road? I thought it was getting fixed this week?

You may well be correct Ian, however I won't be collecting my car from Dom until Saturday and then need to do 1,000 miles running in for an oil & filter change before another 1,000 miles before remap. I will get the first 1,000 done inside a week but not the 2nd and return for remap, that is my limiting factor.

Even if I don't make it there to the track I'll still come and spectate so I'll see you all there in one way, shape or form!

I had a chat with Dom yesterday, rolling road should be working, I've put myself towards the back of the cue as I have gear selector issues and a few other jobs to look at?

Hope that helps you boys a tad! I've been living without my car for ages anyway, so it's just another few weeks of the same for me.

Bumpy for this.

Just spoken to MSV and there are four of us booked on under the 'TVR Group'

Anyone looking to do this needs to PHONE MSV on 0843 453 3000 and ask to book under the TVR Group. Phazed, you're not down.

We need one more for a 10% discount.

Cut off is this Thursday so people really need to call tomorrow (Wednesday) so that the paperwork can be sorted ahead of the day.

Sorry to be a wuss guys but we are exchanging contracts on a property in the next week, (fingers crossed) and spending a minimum of £300 at this point isn't diplomatic iyswim.

I hope that the weather stays fair and you have a good time.

Completely logical and understandable Peter, no suggestion of wussing. I've now collected door number backgrounds for next year and will bring them to Ally Pally if you're still going (thanks again to Anthony for the heads up!).

Sorry to be so late jumping on this one guys, but I have just booked - too late for the discount I guess. If you can figure out how they can take account of the fact there are 5 of us then please go ahead. My surname is Whitaker.

Been trying to find out what time the briefing is, anyone know?

Cheers
Dave

Also, are there catering facilities for breakfast and lunch? Or is it sarnies. Appreciate any pointers.

Thanks

We missed out on the discount, too few. Plus people needed to phone and book.

Sign on from 7.30am.

You should get an email with instructions. There was catering on the corporates I've done there. That said I bring snacks as I find it quite an active activity.

There are full catering facilities there, in fact you can have a bacon roll and a tea during the briefing as its in the cafeteria.

There are two tea/coffee machines in the pits area as well so no shortage of refreshments.

Bedford is a good, very safe place with huge run off areas, you can't go wrong wink

Is your exhaust standard? If not, you'll need some cans.

Who was it that wanted my spare set?

If you want to borrow a set I can get a pair to Stuart, (MK1Fan), just let me know.

I'd agree Bedford is a great facility and a good place to drive fast and safe, good atmosphere and the corners are fun too wink

I'll be there to take part after all, unfortunately will still be (electronically) limited to 3750rpm but using the day as track experience and some extra running in miles before full remap, just hope I don't get in the way of too many others, I'll keep my eyes & ears open and my wits about me !
My rev limit should see me through the noise test ok thogh but I'll bring my track day cans with me in any case, if I don't need them someone else is more than welcome to them for the day.

See you there!

Thanks for the comments chaps. Exhaust is back to a standard exhaust, did Snetterton last year while it was straight through and that was right on the for their 105dB, but then even only when it was totally warmed up. Admittedly its a bit quiet now, so might go for part sleeved this winter.

Thanks for letting me know sign on is from 730, but when is the briefing (so I know how late I can arrive...)

Thanks
Dave
