Hi all,

I have been looking for a long time and finally put a deposit down on my first tvr. Bad points: Cat D. Good points: It looks immaculate, 25000 miles, I love the colour, It's a W reg and has the newer rear lights etc... agreed a price of less than £10K. I really hope I've done the right thing. I've just got to resist commissioning it to the road just yet though as I'm not planning to use it till next spring.

Welcome to the fold Dan, you'll find this lot on here a friendly & knowledgeable bunch if/when you have any questions, or just opinions to offer. You'll soon get the hang of steering through the comedians and navigating the humour. I've had mine almost 3 years and this forum has been a godsend for advice, consolation & camaraderie and I'd have really struggled without it...........feeling rather emotional now, must go thumbup

Well done Dan, get ready for every Specsavers joke in the book....... nerd
There are ways of getting CatD removed from the records - worth your while looking into that.
Any issues, ask here first.
Now we're just waiting for you to find that the lights on the dash have stopped working whistle
In the mean time welcome to the fold and we look forward to seeing you on the road in the Spring.

Thanks mate, I've heard that before and will be looking into it. Not sure how well it works but worth trying.

Welcome aboard, good choice of car!! As mentioned before, great source of knowledge. I'm sure you'll find yourself on a hoon out with some members in the coming months.

Well I currently drive a 2004 Honda Civic 1.6 with a sunroof so don't see it'll be that different to drive!😂
