This thread I started in the Cerbera forum using a Mercedes engine which was done by a company in the south west of England. It also featured in Sprint magazine.
Hope this helps:

There is an Hemi 6.1 engine here for sale. No idea the size of it.
Will it fits? Or jaguar 4.0?I can get a 4.6 Rover here but how to bring it to 400hp?

V8 from a BMW X5 is fittable. I know of one going into a Tuscan.

Reliable, cheap, plenty of spares. Can have FI added later for more oomph too. Popular mod on the drifting scene.

Hi Stewart, I remember you mentioning this engine swap about 18 months ago and being tight lipped. How far off completion is it.

At the end of the day you can literally fit any engine to anything if you have the skills.

And Denis has hopped a 100hp in a matter of posts ! round it off to 500hp !,my experience of driving in KL would suggest a standard 4 litre will do you grand in the usual traffic jam !
Denis,at least tell us more about the engineless Chimaera you have bought, pics etc

I'll give him a bell and find out.

I can't see it being too difficult if the overall dims are ok.

Most V8 twin cam engines seem to be too wide so that is why the Merc engine fitted.

How much do you want to spend?

Probably 'orrible but what was the V8 used in the Rover 75?

Rimmer Bros are flogging off a load of new short engines at under a grand and was just wondering if there was any commonality with our RV8?

IIRC it was the mustang motor, which if I've got that right does share a common link (well sort of) with the TVR plans for 2017!
