Hi all. I seem to have a thumping noise coming from the rear of my chim. It sounds to me like the boot lid is the culprit but the hinges are tight. The boot lid strut does have play in one of the ball joints at the end. Other than the catch itself I'm not sure what else it could be as it only happens over sudden bumps. Is this a normal thing on these?

Many thanks

Check the security of the fuel tank. It is held down by a couple of straps bolted through the floor.

Thanks all. Plenty to check. I don't think it's the exhaust as replaced the rubber recently and also the anti roll bar droplinks and the bushes seemed ok but ill check anyway.

I had a knocking damper.

Taped my phone to it, set record and pumped up and down on the rear!

It was then obvious .

Broken baffle in the fuel tank? That causes a fairly pronounced donk from the back end.
