Hi mark. It seems to happen mainly when going over sudden bumps. Having been out with Liam we seen to think it's shock related.

Is there any particular way to test shock bushes whilst still on the car? Ive tried using a lever and can't seem to make any noise.

Mine were knocking from inside the damper itself, not the bushes.

For what it's worth , I had exactly the same on my griff and it was a loose mounting tank strap under the tank in the end as suggested towards the top of page one.
