Injectors out...
Discussion
I got mine back from injectortune today. It took a lot of wiggling, pulling and cursing before I got mine out. Didn't want to force them. You need to take the plenum and baseplate off to be able to lift the fuel rail. The injector electrical connectors all come out of the loom in their appropriate spot on mine so there should be no chance of cross connection. Mark them if you're not sure.
5 of the 8 were 3% down on flow with 3 of them a reduced spray pattern. I'm hoping for improved running but none of them were all that bad, unfortunately. After 84k miles!
I'm taking the opportunity to vacuum out the leaves, dust and debris that seems to accumulate under the base plate. The plenum cover is getting a good clean (you may want to polish it?), and I'm refurbing the coil while it's out too. No Red Bull shiny metal covering, just some satin black paint.
The fuel temperature sensor could be changed while you're on the passenger side, but that may be overkill. The fuel rail is probably ripe for shining up but I'm not sure about it (?).
