Hi folks, I know there's been many posts on the best pad and disk combo's for the chim and griff and equally as many opinions on the subject, but it's not the actual makes I'm enquiring about, but more what the thoughts are on using differing compounds for front and rear???

Incidentally, I'm planning on sticking with the standard size brakes, decided on Nitrac discs and pagid rs29 ' s on the front, not sure the rear, but that's part of my query.

Has anyone any experiences?

Are you racing the car?

if not then not sure you will generally get anywhere near the temps needed to make harder racing compounds work.

You could use some temp strips on your callipers to measure hot temps then go from there.

Hill climbing you will want a pad that works from cold, Rs29 is the Endurance compound, not a bad pad but you could get something more effective for that specific application.

Pagid RS14 or RS15 are more "bitey".

CL Brakes even more so, with a flatter torque curve.

Both very good pads.
