Matthew Hi

I have the exact same mount front and rear but I don't have that swivel thingy you have screwed into the base of the clamp mount, any link. The bottom picture sums up my problem nicely how to clamp in that position but have the camera the right way up. Any brain waves. Hope to be at Donnington doing a trackday next week with a past sponsor so will put mic by carbs for you. LOL

Mathhew Hi,

I have set the camera up for upside down filming at Donny on Tuesday thank you for link simples when you know how.

I have wired the external mic up to the back of the banks of carbs but was wondering as sound was so bad last time out do I need to set the camera for the external mic or just plug it in and camera recognises it automatically do you know?

I found a short cut to turn the wireless on and off to save the battery. push the spanner button on the side for 2 second to turn on and 4 seconds to turn off, no matter if camera on or off simples.

PS. What video setting are you at and still have medium view . My setting at the moment is 720/50/medium

Gopro help again please Mathew,
Just got back from Spa and I had wrapped the mic in quite a lot of foam to shut out wind noise as the mic tries to do it it's self and the result is a quite volume. It worked and now it is much louder on the recording but downside is it has picked up all the rocker and valve noise from top half of engine . I had the mike stuck to the air box in front of the carbs. Back to the drawing board for a mic position just to pick up the carb noise.

I will post a video link once I have sorted out this new problem I need help with. I have camera set at 1080 50fp medium. and filming a 40 minute race it records into one file on camera, then when I down load it, it splits the video into three smaller files, meaning I have to get them back into one file to put onto "you tube". any thoughts as to why it is doing that ? as it makes editing the video, to cut out unwanted bits, a right time consuming, pain in the derriere.

Good video, the sound is not too bad but it does need refining. Maybe try in inside the cockpit of the car and see how it comes out. I tried mine next to the air-filter once and the sound was not great:

What mic are you using? I have an Audio Technica AT-3350 form mine which works well. It is powered so does not seem to go out of range as much like some of the other mics I tested out. £20 from Amazon

What are you using to edit on your PC / Mac?

Feel free to ping me a PM with your number and a good time to call if you think it will be easier to have a chat on the phone.
Hi man,

No name on my mic but will look at the mic you suggest. Debbie, my much better half edits the video's and I have to cook the tea 6 nights a week in exchange biggrin . Could you pm me your number and I will get you to have a quick chat with her if that ok. we are using " Windows Movie Maker " on a PC

Great video Perry..................enjoyed that!
Thought you would . Are you and Qbee still ok to throw spanners and do the pit stop change for Brands on the 23rd as I am sorting out how many tickets to buy now. (cheaper if you buy in advance). Saturdays race should be up soon and you will never guess who wins the battle between the TVR and the Porsche, suffice to say it ends in tears for one of them.
