Old phone bloke was less than helpful, re: the mounting difference(mine are 150mm - All the other Alfa Brembos are 130mm) "they don't work" was all he could offer, as advice!footnote]Edited by hillclimbmanic on Tuesday 22 March 09:56[/footnote]
I contacted Oldphonebloke myself about three years ago to discuss the possibility of fitting the kit to a TVR and he also said "they don't work", clearly he's a grumpy Oldphonebloke.

Almost as grumpy as Alex rofl

Nice one Alun but did the old bloke lose his phone confused

Next week I'm starting a post on tantric sex lube injection, it won't make your TVR any faster but the pleasure it'll give will be cloud9

Yep I just couldn't resist hehe but seriously recently I've been finding the limits of my standard set up and it's alarming, well that's my excuse anyway thumbup

Edited to add I have sampled a number of other Tvr's with said Brembo Brakes,,,it's been on my list for some time,
Soon as I read they are effectively Ferrari 360 brakes I was sold, hehe
Why wait I'm thinking,, it's a bit like an Ecu upgrade,, huge improvement and I can't wait as brakes are the key to putting some final fears away, braking is always a ? and it's time I did something about it.

Let's just see what they look like when they arrive first?

Yes that's exactly it Richard, progressive feel and a great confidence booster every time you apply the things.
I'm happy with the standard brakes on thr road but if and when I want to go near a track they are then woeful and a major compromise,,
Anthony's car like others have had the brakes tested and tested again on track and the Brembos do the job without complaint.
I'm also keen to widen the track front and rear so it's just time to get it done,,, oh and yes if the ramps free then I'll be on it quicker than a quick thing hehe

Look what just turned up from Oldphone bloke
E38 Brembo Calipers incl brackets and bolts, (bolts are the correct thread )
All pre assembled.
Calipers look like new, can't see any marks etc on them at all,
These are supplied with new seals etc, Pistons look mint,,
I just need some discs and spacers etc, and start playing,
They weigh something I know that.
I'd looked at second hand, filthy dirty, straight off a car for £200 so these for £340 with brackets etc incl postage seems a bargain to me.

I just need to re read Daves impressive list and get the other bits together. These are to fit the 326 focus discs.

I wasn't sure what condition the Brembos would come like so decided to see them before ordering other stuff,,
Well impressed for the price, just hope they work properly. Might look for an online repair video so can dis assemble and look over them but they look ready to go to me wink

Very nice Alun.

You are welcome to the garage if ever you are down this way.

Out of interest, who makes these brakes, they are off a Tuscan..

AP or similar, there very nice Peter,, these Brembos are massive compared to the O/E brakes,,
Confidence inspiring just holding the buggers
I better get ordering.
It's hopefully a big improvement on the tiny feckers I've got on the car at the mo!

Is it a good idea to protect the copper piping with a bit of copper grease gently smeared around them?

I think you are after Focus RS disks from around 1999/2000, 324mm diameter, Alun.

Mine were Black Diamond, 12-groove, vented but not drilled.

What holds the pads in?
