B-b-ber BREMBOS!
Discussion
It's such a buzz ain't it Dave.
So tapped my holes using M12 x 1.75 tap
And just test fitting.
As Dave points out I need 0.5 shim/washers to centre Caliper but couldn't get any local,, will order some from Daves recommendation.
It's all very straight forward once you get started and it's not a long job to actually do,, I'm taking ages over it as I like to stand and admire I'm going to do the same on the O/S and test fit to just be sure it's sitting similar.
As can be seen I can get my 17" rims on easily enough but there's only about 4-5 mm between wheel spokes and Caliper so I will order some spacers and studs as I do want to widen the track very slightly.
Some more pics to enjoy.

^^^^^ takes me back,,,
The salt this year has mullered the lot
So having fitted the O/S caliper too, it turns out I need 1 X 0.5mm shims for the n/s and 2 X 0.5 shims for the o/s to centre the Caliper, so almost from the kit I've had supplied by Oldphonebloke the Calipers fit within a couple of mm. Almost made to measure, I'm saying all this before I've got them working so I'll assume caution and get the spacing spot on first.
Tapping the hubs was easy, the correct drill size for the M12 X 1.75 tap is 10.2 mm,, drill slips through the original holes so no need to drill.
I just carefully tapped and kept things square on and found with a new tap it cut very easily using the usual technique,
I used an 8 mm socket on the end of the tap to aid turning, small amount of cutting oil and some nice threads cut.
I've opted for standard nuts to go on the back of the hub bolts and just use thread loc as I feel the heat may effect Nylocks.
I might re think that though!
What a div for not ordering the Chims,,
Sorry to bore people but kin ell these things are awesome.

Cheers mate. It's always good to share
Here's me thinking its a test of engineering But with these brackets and yes all the bolts are correct by the way,, it's very enjoyable.
I've never upgraded brakes before, simple enough I know but like many I tend to think manufacturers test brakes to destruction so there probably rather good,,, then there's Tvr still the brakes are absolutely fine for 90% of application
But when you'll need them most,,,,,
Brakes as has been pointed out by Dave earlier in this thread are possibly the most important part of a cars make up,,,
I'm sure Wheeler knew what he was doing all along,, give em something fast with no brakes,,, until now I've got used to the power and handling but ever since day one it's like hit the throttle,,,,,that's exciting,, but then hit the old brakes,, it's like your trying to stop from twice the speed,,, st, fk, crap, phew! It's all kidology into making you think it's faster than it is,,, think is we're now actually making them real fast so the brakes are becoming a wrap spot.
20 years ago we would have been happy with them, speed humps, erratic driving, busy busy roads, if your putting miles on the car it's now a big part in making the Tvr experience what it always should be, fast, cool, safe.
if your car is for weekends and gentle blasts and cruises, the O/E brakes are fine and I kinda like them,
If you want what's considered to be close or if not the best brakes on your Tvr then Brembo E38 with 324MM Ford Focus RS discs won't be far wrong.
Thanks to Alexdaredevils and Chimpongas and all you others who pave the way for us to eat some ass on a track day....

Brakes look good Alun.
Wishbones are not as shiny as under the bonnet and I bet that will change whilst you are waging for the spacers etc!
Where's that can of paint,,, . Well now I've got freaking Ferrari stopping Power it's about time I lifted the body and sorted out its old bones! Wishbones are not as shiny as under the bonnet and I bet that will change whilst you are waging for the spacers etc!
I have my grandson with me this week so we've been eating roast dinners and having a a full on boys week, he's a computer nut and a bright lad, totally adores the Tvr and gets it far better than the grown ups,,
So sharing this Ferrari upgrade and opening boxes with goodies in it, checking brake disc spec and sizes etc with him, then the pads and discs arriving today, huge excitement and then showing him the old disc against the new,,,
He understands two/four and then later I explained 6 pot Calipers, he understands hydraulics fully and can clearly see as I do the difference in size alone is enough to be impressed.
The Brembo Pads have a high degree of metal in them, should heat up nicely,, my only thoughts are, this set up is for a heavy car,, infact contrary to other thoughts maybe in hindsight a more race aggressive pad may well be more suited to getting heat into them,,, for £36 for Brembo pads I've hardly taken a risk,, see how they fare first.
One really nice fact is removing the pads for cleaning and inspection or even cos you need to change them fast is now very simple and straight forward, so again adding to the appeal, just knock the pins out and off they come.

Old blokes got a set of the Brembo to fit 336 mm advertised for £355 I'd snap em up Derek. Andav's discs look the biz,,
Just a thought,, what are we torquing up the two bracket to hub bolts too and also the finer thread bolts that connect the Caliper to bracket. Cheers
