I assume you are referring to the word bathtub!

Personally, I have always felt that that the tam is the ugly baby in the family. It may handle well, (And that is debatable as I have never driven one) but you can't get away from it looks.

You're all wrong! they're bloody gorgeous.
quote "TVR is another one of those brands where we could include pretty much any car it made" say what??? terrible?? there are some pretty rank bed fellows in that piece.

NOTE- this topic was brought to my attention by a mate who runs a chiminea, I wouldn't normally hang around this forum! (TC46- in case anyone wondered) :0

I know I posted it but I also think the work terrible is harsh but remember it is also saying we want them! I only posted it because they said "More desirable Chimaera and Griffith" I think this may be purely down to units sold???
I personally think the Tam is more of an "acquired taste" looking car, some days I like it, others I prefer my Chim, do I want one - No, do I want to drive one - Yes.
I also think they mention all TVR's because of "the reliability issues" Bloody media for you though!!

All TVRs, indeed all cars, are super reliable if driven several times a week.
Leaving them sitting in a garage for weeks on end does them no good whatsoever.

truth is - ALL TVR's are bloody great. interestingly the article also included the Porsche 911 (930)
I can recall when the tam was launched- it didn't float my boat either (this was in my between TVR era too) but they grew on me and the 18" wheels gave it a better look (arguably at the expense of comfort) Cheers Dan!

Hhmm, I remember them coming out and was disappointed at the rear end [to me looks like a rear engine car from behind] So had a new T350 instead.
[weird, my Chimaera spends a lot of time in my garage and has been superb] scratchchin

Yours is the exception to the rule, Mac, a testament to the quality of the car and the care you lavish on it. clap
So many reports on these pages of non-starting and bad running cars, and when one gets down to the facts, they are either stored for the winter, or only driven once a month.
Even my daughter 's Volvo failed to start last month (flat battery) and has developed damp related faults because she hasn't been using it.
