Hi I am probably going to look at a Chimaera 400 for sale reg L122XOU.It has had a fair bit of work done including a new chassis ,brakes and some engine work but I was wondering whether anyone here knows of this car.mileage is around 98k

Looks like the best of the bunch in that price range.

MOT history looks clean. The only advisory on the last one was a crack in the windscreen, worth checking.

Thanks the dealer selling it has emailed me a file from the previous owner showing work which has been done to it.Will check the windscreen.

Check the headlamp reflectors for corrosion. You need to get your eyeball up against the glass to see inside. There is a space between the reflector, which is chromed, and the glass which is painted either aluminium or silver. Don't mistake the silver part for corrosion. Reflectors cost £200.
Check the condition of the hood. Follow all the stitching as this is easy to miss. Any cracks in the plastic screen will cost too.
Ensure the carpets are dry under the pedals and the seat. May just be a tired seal but worth a quick look.
