215/40/17 but 215/45/17 fill the arch better and give you a better ride.

Depends on who you speak to.
I have used 215/45 17 fronts and 235/45 17 rears without any issues, but the 235 can be close to the rear bodywork.
Some recommend 225 and 245 - all I can say is that 245 would catch on the arches at the rear on my car, and 225/45 17 fronts in Toyo R1Rs do catch on full lock on the head lamp access panels.

I've got 215/40/17's on the front and I'd agree 45's would be better suited for road use.

205/55/16 diameter 607 Drives a dream .

215/40/17 604 Harsh ride .

215/45/17 625 Gives you more wall height .

I have the 225 45 fronts...no issues with rubbing....proves every chassis is different by mom's

My R1R fronts only just catch, brand new, so i am waiting for them to wear down a bit!
R1Rs are, I believe, a tad wider/squarer shouldered than standard road tyres

Why not Toyo 888 , its what I needed to get some traction, with the tcs switched on it will drive in a straight line although you can feel the tcs working !!

Forgot to say I am still on standard rears for the orignal look

Because I can't get them in the sizes I need.
