Thought that my clutch was on the way out last night even though it's only a few thousand miles old, classic slipping at 3k rpm in 3rd gear and some in 4th. Got a sulk on and just cruised home.

Took it out this morning for a run and it didnt slip, an hour later and it starts doing it again. Thinking maybe that it's an oil leak when it gets hot until I realise that I can pull the pedal up a couple millimetres with the top of my foot and it stops slipping.

Now, the clutch biting point has always been at the top of the pedal travel even before I renewed it last year. Is there any way to adjust this? Any idea where I should be looking for what's stopping the pedal returning all the way back up, has anyone else had anything like this happen to them or is my car being an idiot? hehe

I'd try bleeding the clutch first just to eliminate that side of it.
Ensure the slave cylinder moves all the way back when released.
Look inside the bellhousing and ensure the fork and release bearing go fully back - may be dirt/crap stopping it on the sleeve.
If they are all good then the clutch master cylinder may be sticking due to internal wear.
