Anyone any idea of the current availability of decent Chim screens and best fitters to use?

Insured with Flux if any bearing...

Mine is being done by National Winscreens they have been using aftermarket suppliers that have not fit properly. Got them to order screen from TVR direct. Arrived with them today so hopefully this one will fit. Will say their fitters have been good. So if you are using them I would talk to them first and get them to get a screen from TVR direct (hopefully after my problems they will).

I had mine replaced by national windscreens and they did a good job. I had to take it to them as they couldn't do it mobile. Its made by SafeVue, I thought the batch of bad screens had been identified and destroyed.

Had mine done by Autoglass 2 yrs ago, but I don't think they have premises any more. Its a Safevue and they got it to fit well too.

Don't have it done by a mobile firm unless you have a garage or a promised very dry period. There's a lot of stress on that top rail when the roof is on, so mine was kept indoors overnight with the roof off for it to bond completely. They'd done TVRs before (a plus) and advised this.

Thanks; that's pretty much what I was anticipating - are the seals/trims still a problem?

Apparently it's best to take the roof off to remove screen and put it on to fit screen to avoid the top of the frame sagging. I may have a spare set of seals when mine is finished.

It took a week to get the seals in. National Windscreens sourced them from David Gearld.

Central TVR fitted mine in December last year. Done through insurance. Fitted a genuine TVR screen.
