I need to order a new 10.5" single Mcloyd clutch plate.

Do I need a metric 22 spline or imperial 22 spline clutch plate for the T5 box?

Hi Peter. Just fitted a twin plate and find it to be nice and light.

What do you reckon cost is?

Isn't there machining to do?

The flywheel has to be redrilled, I had a helix before

The release bearing carrier needs a bit machining off the back , well worth it as very happy with the feel of the clutch

I bought the flywheel at the same time and had the whole kit lightened and balanced. I think I have taken to much off the carrier. Anyone got a spare for sale?

You can get the single plate McLeod from Real Steel in Uxbridge.

The carrier needs 10mm removing for the single plate.

Suggest you measure the high of your existing flywheel / clutch unit (fully torqued up) to confirm this and then compare to the McLead.

It's pretty simple.

Mcloed twin plate clutch.

Buy it complete, machine 10mm off carrier, use existing slave, release arm etc.

Is that it?

And, anyone got a piccie of the carrier, (machined or not)? Trying to picture what needs to be done?

Those carriers must be amongst the heftiest most 'orrible examples of pig-iron engineering ever inflicted on any car. Get rid yes

For carrier, you mean the clutch release bearing?

The clutch release bearing sits on a steel carrier. So with the extra high of the McLeod clutch the clutch will be slightly engaged all the time if you did not shorten the carrier.
