Hiya Guys, there is much talk and on the subject involving (ECUmate Lite 14CUX ECU fault code reader), are they still available new or used.
I assume they are reasonably straight fwd plug and diagnose lol, pardon my stupid questions, I know they can diagnose more complicated solutions to problems but also diagnose simple solutions,
I was thinking to buy one but maybe and its very possible that things are not so simple and straight forward, once any help here would be appreciated,,,

I dont think the ECU mate products are in production any more as Steve Heath has retired.

They aren't really diagnosis tools. They won't tell you what is broken really. They will show you what the ECU sees from the sensors and what iti is doing in response.

You'll need to use thst information along wiht the knowledge on here to diagnose a problem.

RoverGauge is cheap and easy to use - you just need to buy a cable (in the classified) and load the free software on a laptop

Rovergauge is a cheaper and more visually useful option. Gives full fault code analysis plus graphical readouts of all ECU input/output variables
