Hope you guys got home ok - good to meet up!

I stopped by Halfrauds for new wipers and installed them with lightning, thunder and a monsoon going on all around me!

New wipers are excellent and uneventful drive home.

The only thing that surprised me was the spray pattern behind the Tiv - looked awesome in the rear view mirror wink

Good to meet you all! Got back no problems, but you certainly have to watch standing water on motorways yikes

Thanks for the gaffa tape Frank and the towel Dave biggrin

Yeah was good to meet you all, no worries about the towel paul, hope you got it back without it getting too wet!

I decided to take mine over to my mates rather than go home and swap cars- i figured it was that wet already it made no difference. In for a penny, in for a pound and 'all that! biggrin

Its currently reasonably dry here in Thame so hopefully it stays that way ready for another hour drive home later!

It was surprisingly comfortable driving it the rain though, seemed to keep the rain out and my wipers were excellent. It's like a completely different car driving it with the roof on, very cosy!

Wipers were fine and no probs with any other part of the roof leaking!

The tyres are a bit old so I think that wasn't helping but the M40 ( I went a slightly elongated way back biggrin ) was like a lake in places.

Looking forward to you sorting the weather out better next time Dave thumbup

To be fair it wasnt raining in Thame when I got there, perhaps your app just got a bit 'lost' geographically! hehe

I finally got home in the Chim at half-past midnight, certainly covered some miles yesterday and the car behaved impeccably.

It was whilst driving down the M40 in torrential rain, that I decided if it wasnt for me needing an estate car for business, I could definitely use the TVR day in day out, no problem. It's ironic that arguably the most satisfying day's driving ive had out of the car since I brought it occured on the day with the worst weather! driving

I did manage a single photo whilst we were stood in the rain watching Paul gaffer-tape his rear window... I'll stick it up later. Hopefully next time we'll get better weather for photos and my cousin will be along with all his proper camera kit too smile

Are any of you guys still letting your Chims out to play in deepest darkest December? biggrin

I was only asking as the weather is looking potentially pretty awesome next week- sunny, dry, and cold! Coupled with being off work for the Christmas break I fully intend to make the most of it, I didn't know if anyone else was about and fancied meeting up?

I was thinking Tuesday (27th) morning. I was planning on heading up Banbury way to see my cousin which would inevitably involve him bringing his 5.0 Mustang out if anyone fancied having a butchers at that too!

If the idea has legs, I'll start a new thread thumbup

Will be good to see you again Frank, I suspect the weather will actually be a lot better on Tuesday than it was when we all last met up back in August- it would certainly be difficult for it to be any worse! hehe

I've just spoken to my cousin and he's onboard- subject to conferring with his wife, so I'll start another thread for this in the morning, and I might text a couple of the others if we haven't heard anything from them in the meantime.

Just dropped mine off at Neil Garner for its Chassis refurb. Missing it already... the sun shining away today didn't help matters cry

As soon as I get it back, I'll be out to play driving

Have a great Christmas.

No worries Paul, that must be painful not being able to just grab the keys and go for a drive! Will be worth it when its done though. Are they fixing the whole in your back window whilst they are at it?! hehe

I'd love to join you but can't see mine being off the axle stands in time, next time perhaps.

I'm up for this, missed the last one but anything for a chance to drive the relatively quiet Banbury Rd sounds like a good idea to me. thumbup
