Hi, As above please. I need a jack (Of full jack kit preferably) for a MK2 400 if anyone has a diagram or can describe where I'll find the jacking points then that'll be helpful too. email me if you prefer. I'll be surprised if anyone has a spare but if you do let me know how much you want for it. It's a year 2000 if that helps.

Thanks in advanced.

The jack (in the boot toolkit) is just a standard scissor jack, they aren't logo'd or anything special. ebay is your friend

Jacking points are anywhere on the main chassis rail. You can also jack on the outriggers but would recommend keeping the jack point as close to the central rails as you can and using the front and back rails which are reinforced with a trinagulation bar.

Wouldn't recommend it unless you have no other choice. For normal lifting at home a trolley jack and axle stands are a much safer option

I got the scissor jack, handle and wheel brace from a scrapyard. Never been used and found in the boot of an old Fiesta. Older model Clio ones also very similar, just ensure you get a brace to fit 19mm wheel nuts. Cost me £10.

Thanks.

I thought you needed one specific to fit jack points, I guess the one from my civic may work will enough then?

There are no specific jack points on the chassis of your Chim. I always try to get the jack under a chassis main rail if possible but sometimes the car is too low so I use the corner of the outriggers which has the triangular reinforcing piece.

I use the scissor jack on the front outrigger corner until I get the clearance to get the trolley jack under the main chassis rail. The axle stands only go under the main chassis too, it just feels safer for me and the car.
