scratchchin Hhmm, summat not right. Mines was from 'Real Steel' a Mcleod street twin rated at 800hp. I swear it's as light as my astravan diesel and an absolute delight to use. I recall being in very heavy traffic in a very hot Monaco [don't y'know] for TWO hours and no achy leg here.
I'll try and dig out receipt.

I have the only one Real Steel offered, up to 800 bhp.

I asked them if they do a lower power one and they said no.

I assume there is an, "inbetween" one?

Got a part number Mac?
That's a pity, I'm sure somethings wrong, wrong pressure plate assembly? I got mine direct from McLoed but that was 20 years ago. It was a chevy item rated at over 1200 hp, 1000 lbs ft and it was really nice to use. It cost me an absolute arm and leg but there was nothing else available that would handle turbo torque whilst being friendly to your left leg. I reckon it was over £1200 after all the shipping and ball ache getting it to fit inside a rover bell housing on a rover flywheel.

ETA, Somebody mentioned your slave cylinder? Have you got the same parts as others, slave, fork, pivot carrier etc?

Peter, am i right in thinking you didnt shave the 10mm or so off your bearing carrier which meant your clutch was very much at the top of the peadal. Just wondering if this would have any affect on it.

What are you guys using for 350bhp plus?
Powers fitted a standard clutch plate from a 500 (part number Q0101 - £188)) on mine and a heavy duty pressure plate (part number Q0025 - £226) it works okay, not too heavy either. That's with 355bhp at the wheels and 480 ft/lbs of torque too.

Here's the graph Dom sent. Its not very clear. Maybe you can enlarge it to see all the readings?

If I remember correctly, 10 psi. To get more power I would need to go for larger injectors Dom said.
Thanks for that, I am aiming for around 8-10psi too and have already fitted 450cc injectors so all being well it looks like I should be able to make good power. 350bhp at the wheels must be a monster!

Just make sure your passenger's head restraint is set at the correct height.idea
Or you might get a whiplash claim as all the power hits at 3,000rpm. hehe

Oh, and if they are a wimp make sure they cannot reach the handbrake....

Its ok the handbrake is useless anyways hehe

Back on topic but i have just bought Peter's McLeod single plate clutch so I will see how that fairs in the car. More importantly it saves me having to spend hundreds and hundreds in the short term and even if it doesn't last long at least it spreads the cost a bit biggrin

I will have to get the flywheel re-drilled to take it but then it will be ready to take a twin plate as well if I ever need it
