Still makes a heathy case for having an AGM battery in there, given its immediate vicinity to ECU, relays, fuses and the passenger's feet...

My problems were NOT charger related, it charges 2 cars at same time, one dies one lives!

Lidl have there intelligent battery chargers in this week- excellent units for the price with the correct charge cycle.

Really impressed with this Maypole at the moment blows my Optimate into a cocked hat for workshop duties wink had for about 6 months so far runs very cool and does exactly what its supposed to do, maintains the AGM Tiv battery and my large trolley jump battery for diesels etc .....................

Sorry for the confusion - the OPs problem was charger related, not yours.
