Cheaper than the other supplier who supply "TVR" parts and fast delivery too!
Might even get to bleed the system sometime this week

Heater cable is detached from control in the cabin,,, anyone know which way the valve ( under passenger dash) turns to open fully?
I presume that pulling on the cable direction closes the valve? but then again having started to get into the TVR foibles, who knows !
The easiest way to determine any value of this type is to remember if the value is pointing in the direction of the flow then it is ON. I presume that pulling on the cable direction closes the valve? but then again having started to get into the TVR foibles, who knows !
If it is at 90 degrees to the flow then it's closed :

Yeah, but that means I need to adopt the TVR upside position, feet over the roof If it is at 90 degrees to the flow then it's closed :
Thanks for that, good point
Well, having had a couple of goes on each coolant pipe trying to get mikalor clips to fit i have had to give up. In some cases there is not enough room for them, much bigger than jubilee types but also the size range does not lend itself to the 5mm wall silicone hoses.
Never had this problem in the past with "rubber" pipes, the size issue manifested itself in hoses pissing water out when warm no matter how much i tightened them
After clearing the garage floor of coolant for the third time i fitted jubilees to the offending pipes.
Anyway, this morning i refilled system and got to the point of fans coming on to see more water coming out from underneath.
Traced it back to the header tank cap, i only filled this 3/4 full, is this normal? The owners manual says 2" off the top...

My header tank throws all the coolant out until it is just 1/3rd full. Its happy there. Think you will find others will agree.Never had this problem in the past with "rubber" pipes, the size issue manifested itself in hoses pissing water out when warm no matter how much i tightened them

Headertank level varies from car to car. Anything from about 1/3rd to 3/4 seems to work for different cars.
Worth checking that the outlet tube at the base of the header tank is clear, sometimes it can clog up if coolant hasn't been changed regularly
It can clog up even if you do change the coolant regularly: mine did. It's easy enough to check without taking any hoses off.Worth checking that the outlet tube at the base of the header tank is clear, sometimes it can clog up if coolant hasn't been changed regularly
Had all pipes off and even renewed the swirl to header tank pipe, definitely clean
Was supposed to be out today, work got in the way but worse than that a small puddle under the connection from top rad to swirl.
Tightened the clip for the third time, these silicone hoses seem to get looser every day !

It should be in the owner's manual. Mine is on page 6:
I believe the sensor is somewhere at the front, can't be precise, I've never found it!
Thanks for the info, I have two handbooks neither of which have that on page 6 I believe the sensor is somewhere at the front, can't be precise, I've never found it!
I have dash locations/markings picture. It looks as if these handbooks I have are for early versions of the Chimera, mine is "99 model so I suspect this indicator was only on "later" models?
Have to see if its possible to get the right version of the handbook!
