I'm sure Steve is correct that's why serious engines have solid cams to ensure full valve lift at high rpm when oil is hot and at high rpm.

I used to run a solid 404 camshaft a few years ago but for ease of maintenance and liveability, (if that's a word and not an Americanism) I changed back to the H404 .
