Hi, can anyone see anything I've missed before I drop the body back on?

Could anyone tell me the size and thread of the fuel pump mounting bracket studs please?

Many thanks

Front anti roll bar.
Don't fit the bushes and brackets just cable tie it roughly in position.

Pump studs are M5.

Thanks Steve, much appreciated.
Thanks for the previous tip about using split washer pipe around the brake pipes when attaching with cable ties. Works well!

Have you run a tap down all the threaded fixings? Chassis mounts, seatbelt etc.

The bolts into the top of the chassis (top of tunnel with earth cables) are hard enough to fit without them being full of paint.

Steve

ETA Have you prepared the body?
Clean off the old mastic (particularly from the seatbelt tab positions).
Tidy the wiring and tie it up to the windscreen wipers.

So you use clear split washer pipe around the brake pipes where you cable tie it ?

Cracking job there fella.
The only thing I can see missing is the hand brake lever or are you fitting that after
you have the body back on?

Good luck with dropping the body on.
Paul.

Not something missing as such, but did you want to do any cleaning and painting of the engine itself?
Have to add that i cannot see the condition of those areas, just can see that the rocker covers and plenum are not a nice bright colour

That's looking mighty good. I can't see anything that's missing that hasn't already been mentioned. I did put the ARB in along with the brackets. They do rub on the front a bit, but nothing a bit of fibreglass muck won't sort out hehe

If you have not done so already;

I would recommend painting the underside of the body before you place it back on the chassis. I used black hammerite paint, followed by a coat of the hammerite black anti chip paint.

Not too easy to see from the pics, but fitting the handbrake switch before the body goes on can really help later on.

I did run a tap through some of them when it came back from the powder coat, but will run through them all again.I have all new bolts so I can check them all.
I have cleaned the body and removed vast quantities of mastic .
Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, it feels much nicer than cabling the pipes to the nicely prepped chassis.

I did cut some fuel pipe to cover any potential rubbing points for the copper fuel pipe too. Might be overkill but now the time.

Everything cleaned and degreased, haven't got the patience for all that polishing!

Haven't decided which is easier, before or after. What do people think?

Thanks, I've used rustoleum matt in the engine bay which was recommended by a contributor on here. I think it's a great product and will do the arches etc before I put the body on.

Before.
Leave the cable disconnected then the lever will lift almost vertical and slot into place as the body comes down.

Is the fuel pipe routing normally over the body mounting brackets?
