Hi,

So today one of the things I did was drain the gearbox oil in anticipation of removing it.
Here's what I found.

Glad I already planned to send it away for refurbishment.

It's the child deprivation that worries me.

Some things What I have been doing.

As part of the body off, I decided to recolour the interior, from Boring Battleship Grey (or Flint as is the official description) to Navy Blue/TVR Magnolia.
Not done the Magnolia yet, but here is a comparison between the Flint & Navy Blue (which hasn't got the sealant coat on yet) (I have added the interior pic to see the true colour of Boring Battleship Grey)

And this is ready to go of to a well known V8 Developer.

And the Gearbox/Diff are going away to their spiritual home avenue.

But my back is now killing me & I'm having some Benrinnes Muscle Relaxant.

Hi Mark
What are you using for the re colour? i need to freshen mine up rather than change it, any ideas how durable it is, will it last on a seat?

Hi Paul,

I followed this write up here.
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=127...

I bought £20 tent from Halfrauds as my spray booth, as I have access to a compressor & spray gun.

I'm about to spray the sealant on (had to re do some that didn't go as planned) but it seems to work well.
Not got to any Leather yet tho, it's all vinyl so far.

Ooh, good to see you took the plunge! I'm still sat here with a duff ECU having a good hard think about life. Will get going once the house settles a bit.

Hi,

Some pics to let you know I'm still plodding away.

Found out why my Y Piece rattles

Got the wishbones off.

But it did put up a fight.

Couple of brackets to remove, got a man trying to get my rear bearings out the uprights & then many bushes to cut out before I can send it for blasting.

Blown ECU... going after market?

That's some work right there.
Putting it back together when it's all like new will be some fine reward.
That chassis really needed this. thumbup
