Mirror adjust switch removal

Hi,

As part of my body off, I'm going to re-colour the interior.
I've got the door cards off, but can't seem to get the joystick for adjusting the mirrors out.
It looks like it should just pop off, but I don't want to break it.

Does anyone know how they are supposed to come off?

Mark,

Just had a look at mine and I'm sure the pyramid came off of the stick on mine and then the collar below the pyramid winds off! But it may be a bit stuck to the fabric so just ease something blunt under the collar to seperate from the leather/ vinyl. Then the body of the joystick will pull down and out.

Thats my recollection.

I thought it might pop off, but it felt tight, I didn't think to unscrew it.
