Hi my first post. I have a "worked" 5litre out of a Chimaera going into a '79 MGBGT (UK model). I've been trying to find something like a Haynes manual so I can get familiar with such things as the breathing system. I can't seem to find anything - where do I look? (I'm well served by the likes of Moss-Europe for my MGs but I can't find anything like their pictograms and Rimmerbros Rover V8 is of little help.)

Not quite - I have several books on tuning etc rather I'm looking for something that has all the individual parts of the motor shown. I've looked at TVR parts on-line who show many of the parts as individual items (like Leacy does) but I've been unable to find anything that gives me the big picture. I couldn't get a 'hit' for Chimaera workshop manual.

There's a thing called the bible but the pics are not the best.
You might be better to use the Chim or Griff forums on here and search engine pics and or topics related to engine etc. Pics will be more upto date and better quality.
Enjoy your engine smile

Something like this any good then.

The book we all refer to as The Bible is the nearest thing to a workshop manual. Its the TVR Griffith and Chimaera by Steve Heath. However, there's no guide in there to dismantling the engine. For that you need the Haynes Land rover manual referred to above.

thanks I saw a reference to the bible - well about some stolen ones. I have a Range Rover wrecker down the road so I'll have a look at that workshop manual
