The aim was for the caliper to stand out so 'kawasaki green' it was to match the silicone hoses under the bonnet, think i achieved this laugh shocking anyones eyeballs as the bonnet flips forward. Yeah im biased but i do agree the oz 8 spokes look the business on the S's.

Hmm i had a look at some finished in black with the chrome outer lip but im not convinced.. Something close to the original i guess but im worried the polished outer rim will start pitting again once the laquer gets damaged (eventually). I think i may just go 'hyper silver' powdercoat all over?

Yes its a tricky one as polished or cut looks great when it is great! The laquering is a bit of a double edge sword..eventually its going to go and it will look like crap...or you don't laquer and spend the rest of your life waxing them yikes

One of my wheels was out a few mm too far so diamond cut was out the question and they didn't polish...so powder coat it was. Not that I regret it....as long as the rims suit the car, powder coat is a good choice all round I'd say. Black is a difficult one on certain colour cars...I'm not keen on dark on dark but on yellow for instance it looks really good. Accents of black can look ok though IMO.

Its the 4.3 you have isn't it? I nearly bought one in light blue before I bought my 400, I've heard good things about them...the BV especially.

Yes definately will be about next year, I need to fire (sneak) the dates in the diary early so that my "Dad the taxi" or "husband the shopping carrier" duties can be excused once in a while smile

Well i think we can rule all black out on the oz vegas, just stumbled across these on the net.. Dreadful. The polished rim & black centre dont look too bad but i think im going to opt for the full powdercoat in 'hyper silver' this time for easy maintenance & they will appear 'metal looking' which will look pretty good (i hope rolleyes)

I have the 4.0 an early 93 one (pre-serp) it came up at just over 5k so naturally i was consumed by the darkside & embarked on an ebay bidding war! laugh will you be in the S or the chim then Phil? (presuming you still have the S?) Glen came down to wellesbourne breakfast meet up few weeks back you'll have to come down next time, we shall talk caliper porn wink

Hmm def suspect all black....you can't go wrong in silver Steve will look great thumbup

Unfortunately I don't have the S any more...should have kept it..bought for 3k, spent another 5k in 12 months along with some sweat and tears and then sold for 5k. Not that I regret spending, like you and probably most people into Tvr sense seems to take a backseat and the urge to restore kicks in....and its nice to know that your saving another one.

God only knows why I thought you had the 4.3 but any model at 5k why not! Wonder what production number it is? Usually there's a personalised scribble under the dash Somewhere.

Breakfast meet sounds good...when is the next one? Caliper, engine or more likely with your latest venture chassis porn thumbup
