Bruce Lawrance from South Australia. I purchased a 1995 Chimarea 400 in February 2016.
I am trying to trace the history of my car in England.
The car was a personal import into Australia in May 2007.
Reg. No. in owners handbook is N947FLCbut this changed at some stage to 496LMG.
The car had its first service at The TVR Centre in August 1995 ( 20 miles )
Bespoke engineering had three phone numbers for a previous owner when they serviced the car in 2003/2004. The phone numbers they had did not answer or were out of service.
Hoping some one can help with some of the cars history and previous life in England.
As far as I know my car is the only Chimarea on the road in South Australia.
Regards
Bruce Lawrance

I can't help you I'm afraid. I do know the chaps at Bespoke and they help out as much as they can.
Are you trying to rebuild the service history or something? Or just curious about it's past?

This is from the DVL database:

Registration number: N947FLC
Vehicle make: TVR
Vehicle model: CHIMAERA
Date first used: 31 December 1995
Fuel type: Petrol
Colour: Red

Test date 29 June 2006
Test Result Fail
Odometer reading 36,474 miles

Reason(s) for failure:
Nearside Rear Tyre tread depth below requirements of 1.0mm (4.1.E.2b)
Offside Rear Tyre tread depth below requirements of 1.0mm (4.1.E.2b)
Offside Front Front wheel bearing has excessive play (2.5.A.3c)

It was sorted out because then, there is:

Test date 3 July 2006
Expiry date 2 July 2007
Test Result Pass
Odometer reading 36,474 miles

This was about the time that the MoT database for cars was started, so no previous records available.

I am trying to build the service history and life history of my Chimarea 400.
I have the owners hand book but that only gives the service dates and mileage.
The guy`s at Bespoke were as helpful as they could be and tried the phone numbers they had.
Thanks for the replys

Ten years on you'll struggle to find the same businesses with the same mechanics and databases unfortunately.
You could ask the tvrcc if they know anything, or start another thread here with the reg numbers in the thread title and a pic or two of the car to see if it sparks any memories.

If it's the only Chimaera in Australia then I think I have sat in it, in Adelaide. If you PM me, I can tell you who owned a Chim in Adelaide in 2006?
