I thought TVR philosophy was never use an expert if a wild guess, an amateur and a socket set are available? biglaugh

Rough rule of thumb is 1.5x dia of bolt for minimum thread depth. So on a m12x1.5 stud that equates to 18mm and 12 turns of the nut or stud.
Or if you fit spacers of whatever thickness you should increase the stud length by the same amount.
If you seem to have an odd length stud and those available to buy are too long, send me a pm and ill happily shorten them smile
