Anyone used this Handbrake cable
Discussion
I want to try and get my handbrake to actually do something other than just being a lever that sits there looking pretty.
I will change the cable and strip the callipers down so I would like to know if anyone has used this cable its the Sierra cable the only difference I can see from the TVR Part is the yellow plastic unit which I think has a C clip on the Sierra.
This is the TVR Cable
Thanks Tony

That looks new, so no one has used it.
Can I recommend that, during the calliper overhaul, you slot the cable holder on the calliper so that you can pass the cable through it when trying to connect it all up. Slot only needs to be a nadge's wang wider than the cable. Saves the faff of slackening off the cable etc...

Last January my car only just passed the handbrake challenge at the MOT. During the year changed the rear calipers and discs to Mondeo/Focus stuff. Bit of a faff but after realigning the handbrake lever on the new calipers to fit the original cable, there was a big improvement in handbrake effort. Passed the test without 2 hands this time.
