Sportmotive sell one..... expensive link
To Rich for my blood,,, sadly,,,, but,,,,,, gussets just think gussets Bit of clever thinking, a bracevhere orbthere or stronger main rails sections along the engine.
Not something I'll do on a whim but it's not so hard to add a bit of strength.

I dropped mine at Powers yesterday for some ball joints to be fitted. Looking filthy!
Yours a beautiful shocking thing. I could tell she was looking out for you bit lonely she was,
What a wonderful job you've done.
It's only been two days but there's a gaping hole in my life,,, I'm up,super early to get work done just so I can be there early to collect her. Mad but true.
Thank you, it's been a long and sometimes trying six years or so but the rewards are well worth it. Purring back North up the M6 yesterday afternoon, Kate running smoother than my daily drive modern, it's hard not to smile especially after nearly three months apart! I saw your car once in the rolling road room, looks lovely.

We tried one a few years ago (stage 2 ported heads at the time, fully decatted and ACT manifolds) and if I'm honest it felt like a waste of money. Not decrying anyone else's experience but it just didn't work for us. We had major problems with the throttle sticking open.
I agree with the point on the sticky throttle, it seemed to be a common theme when I spoke to owners who had these fitted. I had a conversation with Tim at ACT about this before I bought mine, in summary I told him I loved the product but the throttle linkage design is a bit wk, it clearly does not match the same high quality of the rest of the product. Tim did say that he was planning to improve the product by possibly fitting a Jenvey linkage to the throttle bodies but so far had not got around to it due to other commitments. I said to Tim if you can supply me a plenum with the new linkage I will buy one. You have to hand it to him Tim at ACT is awesome, if I was him I would have probably told be to either buy the plenum off the shelf as is or piss of and don't buy it. Less than a month later Tim had a prototype built and fully tested at Austec on their rolling road. Soon after I had the first plenum with the new linkage fitted and working like a dream. The new linkage gives a really nice smooth throttle travel. Existing Linkage:

anthony when is the old pals track day and what venue would love to enter if free on the day

Not decided yet John - just getting the lads thinking about it. john
We all know Snetterton and its not too far for anyone, and it has two decent straights, so it could well be a track close to you.
Just keep an eye on the Chim/Events pages, and i will make sure you get the nod if we see you seem to have missed it

In summary it is not about increased numbers with this mod, at around 1k it is poor value for money if you are looking for power gains. What it does do however is vastly improve the drivability of the car with a lovely crisp throttle response. Very happy with mine.
The TVR driving experience for me goes way beyond number chasing... if what you get from an ACT twin throttle plenum is genuinely a significant improvement in throttle response that would be reason enough for me to fit one.Shame Tim doesn't offer a try before you buy deal
How about a 30 day money back guarantee, fit it and if you're not completely satisfied you can return it in perfect condition for a full refund... less the P&P?
I bet Tim's twin throttle plenum sales would increase by 25% if he offered such a deal, 50% if he sweetened it with the type of credit deals watch sellers offer

I run a 4.5/4.6L with a triple plenum, it is over the top for a 4.5L so a double would suit it better I'm told using half throttle is enough.
The above is with the triple and coil packs etc I had 330BHP with out the triple and running on a Mark Adams chip so not much of a gain for the out lay
If ok to ask, what spec is your engine to get that amount from a 4.5 as my 5.0 is under standard power at 299bhp at the flywheel The above is with the triple and coil packs etc I had 330BHP with out the triple and running on a Mark Adams chip so not much of a gain for the out lay

Not sure how to send you a e-mail with details The are old print outs but are the last time a rolling road was used
My 5.0 has a taraka upgrade with act exhaust manifolds, act triple throttles and plenum, uprated Bosch green injectors all tuned by mark Adams.
These mods were done about 10 years ago so has n/a tuning moved on hence better power and torque figures now?
