Hi Everyone
Took the Chimaera out today after a bit off a lay-up and remember I have this horrible rattle coming from the rear, inside the car I'm fairly sure. Have had new outriggers and suspension all round so that should be all ok. Is it the rear struts on the roof? If so how do I rid myself of it, it's driving me mad and puts me off the carmad

As above, you should'nt have any rattles from the rear at all.
I sometimes get a vibration type rattle from my left hand roof strut. I tried adjusting it but made no difference. I used a small piece of card and trapped it between the roof strut buckle. It worked.
I changed tyre's and it doesn't do it anymore and I've long since stopped using the card.

Check your exhaust tail pipes centre securing bolt too. if that's loose it will give off a rattle/ tap sound.

Check your shocks regardless as they can settle and if they have rose joints yank thebhell out of them to feel for movement
1 mm play sounds like more when it's rattling about.

After having my roof off I have a rattle from the passenger side strut, you can feel that it's not tight when locked, unlike the drivers side, I have checked that it's tight, maybe I will try putting a washer between the strut and the body to try and tighten it a little.

I'm sure they have a slotted hole where it meets the bulkhead you should be able to adjust slightly to take up the slack

It might sound like it's inside the car....but the last one I had that drove me mad was in fact a rattling brake pad.
I had unwisely installed some pads without springs, but a broken pad spring can have the same effect.
Other choices are a loose rear ARB, as already said, a broken rear drop link bracket, and the exhaust hanging loose.

On a similar vein - I have a lound knocking not a rattle from the rear !! Sounds like it is coming from under the rear parcel help. Had MOT etc and they couldn't find
anything loose or broken. Any thoughts ?

My rattles come from the baffle in the fuel tank....

The rear roof strut is easy to check, just ask a passenger to hold onto them while driving and see if it stops

Have you tried paying voluntary NI contributions when you haven't earn enough to protect your state pension........bloody hopeless. Was told send it in and then ring up later when processed and sort it then mad

I had an amusing 15 minutes today when my tax software told me to roll forwards a capital loss from last year......and then refused to calculate and save the return because there were no capital transactions this year.....compounded because it is my brother's return and I am doing it for free...furious

Love the fact that "they" want everyone to go online and then don't even have the software to file them properly. As soon as you stray from employment or self employment you have to use 3rd party software at a cost of £000's per year. CT dropped altogether........oh dear oh dear don't get me started rage

I use BTC for all my tax software, and VT for all accounts production. They are both inexpensive, and link together.
Three more returns already done this morning - the joys of working from home!
On the down side, just discovered yesterday that I need to do two sets of company accounts to get the relevant dividend data, and I don't even have the client's records yet.....and he's off to Moscow on Sunday.

I had a few of those but luckily they are out of the way now. Could just look at the dividends drawn I guess but are they linked directly to companies profits? On one-man companies I'm sometimes just mopping up what they have already taken!!! Course with dividend rules changing from April 2016 useful to take the dividends to the max if affordable.
