Electric mirror ECU
Discussion
I've been trying to diagnose the cause of the inoperative electric mirrors on my 98 450. I've sent the PCB in the switch unit for repair as some of the track looked water damaged. Just been routing around under the steering column to find the mirror ECU and found the connector block pictured below. Traced the wires back into the door and suggests this is where the ECU should be, but clearly isn't. Am going to do some more investigative work today but would be great if anyone's able to confirm my thinking is correct on this.
Have heard a relay may be involved but have so far failed to find one! Mine has the aluminium control switch in the driver's door. Have tested the motors and all work fine. Traced wiring back through the door and ended up with the empty connector in my pics. I realise this is a lot of work to go to to get non-essential electrical items working, but it's become a personal challenge!

That black pin connector looks very different to the white ones TVR used, has someone maybe a previous owner been doing some electrical work? The relays for the mirrors are located behind the door speakers, mine is a 96 with old style black mirror toggle switch, they have worked for the last 9 years during my ownership of the car.
