Did you clean off all the old glue from the body before using this stuff?

If you trawl back a few pages on the "what did you do in your garage" thread I think you'lll find Phazed (Peters) posts on what he did.

Can't recall much glue, whatever was there was easily removed.

Most of it. The glue pretty much came off with the old heat resistant foam.

Oh, and I'd strongly recommend you wear gloves when laying it. The metallic edges are ferking sharp.

How effective is the use of this sort of sound deadening material on a fibreglass body.

Peter, Terry ?

Can you notice a big difference or is it marginal ?

Defo quieter. Gives the car a more, "dull" type of sound inside.

It must be quieter as I am now identifying minor wind whistles at the window edges. Also I am sure I can hear the fuel pump more.

More insulation needed at the back now!

Thanks Peter.

It may be something I will have a go at.

Frankly, I haven't noticed any difference. I fitted the Dynamat mainly to reduce in cabin temps. That did help either!

Interesting.

I used 2 Dyno products plus a bit of other stuff that I had and thoroughly sound and heatproofed mine.

TBH i've only done about 150 miles since but initial findings are, cabin noise changed to more of a dull sound and I can now hear the fuel pump!

As for heat, well in these temps its as cool as a cool cucumber but obviously the test is in warmer weather sitting in traffic!

We will see.

Usual typo - I missed the word not from that last sentence.

(I know it's not my quote, but don't know how to add multiple quotes!)

It is warm here, and I can tell you, not much difference!

I am pretty certain it is not that I'm sure you can find the spec on the net.

Do I get the sense that you are contemplating putting under the bonnet or in the transmission tunnel?
