After rebuilding my Chimaera following a body off chassis refurbishment, I have now plugged and wired the engine bay but I am left with a small pipe about 6" long that comes from the fuel pressure regulating valve? (a small canister on the fuel rail) but cant see where the other end plugs into. Its in the area of the throttle linkage and inlet air plenum but cant find a nipple to plug it in. Wish I had taken more pictures!

Could be the vacuum hose that connects to the plenum - plugs in under the stepper? Maybe longer than 6" though?

That does look to be the pipe from fuel regulator to the little stub on the back of the stepper motor housing. It is a vacuum pipe. Changes in vacuum alter the fuel pressure.
6" will not be long enough. Should probably be longer than 12".

One side of the Fuel regulator has the return pipe to the fuel tank this is a renforced on. The other side is a vacuum pipe going to the back of the plenum - stepper motor housing. it is as others say about 6-8"long.

Cheers lads, After 2 hours looking last night, I went to the car this morning and found the nipple within 2 minutes thanks to your help.

This morning I put the exhaust on, attached the fuel tank and battery, put 1/2 gallon of petrol in and after 20 seconds of priming the car burst into life, ran up to temperature with no leaks! what a great sense of achievement after about 300 hours of work.

Just need to put the fluids in the brakes, put seats in and bonnet and boot on and jobs a good un !!!
