Chim door switch wiring

Anyone know how to access the wires from the switch in the door sill - the switch operates central locking/interior light. The wires have come adrift from one of mine and I cant get enough length out of the hole to extend them....Does removing the kick plate allow access to the interior of the bodywork at the bottom of the door frame? Thanks

No access from under the kickplate so please don't go pulling that off, I'm actually struggling on this, the cabling must run from the access flap where the door solonoids are.

Thanks for the heads-up. I did manage to get enough of the wire out this evening to make a solder connection. Used some stiff wire shaped into a hook at one end and a pair of long nosed pliers. Not a pretty repair but it now works....A previous owner has somehow managed to extend the wring quite a bit on the otherside.
