Of course you can you have a standard(ish) car . I've chipped in and its a chim forum, did you mention that most standard 4ltr V8S's seem to make more than the equivilant Chim installation before .

I have a rolling-road print from My Chim 500 which is putting out 258bhp at the wheels at 5553rpm - what is this putting out at the flywheel?
So - anyone got an opinion of what my car is making at the flywheel, given 258 at the wheels?
If it was making that much at the wheels , which is still quiet a lot even for a fettled 500 then 310-320 bhp corrected IMHO.
Most 'standard' 500's make around 225-230 bhp at the wheels again IMHO.

As a rough guess I'd say it's probably very close to 300bhp, if anything slightly over, which is a lot!!! My reasons for saying this is my Griff 500 put's out slightly less than that and the difference on Austec's RR was 41bhp between Flywheel and A.T.W figures. How about Torque??

Took my 4 ltr to austec a while ago and i seem to remember them quoting it at 230 at the flywheel.
Well if its standard 4.0 then Austecs RR is over-reading somewhat, or its the best 4.0 I've heard of

Quiet a few of the standard V8S's seem to make 230-240, if not more. Whereas the chims seem to be nearer 210-220 as standard, but there are always exceptions IMHO, some even 190 ish which is sorted V6 S country.

Surprised a V8S owner in my old S... he didn't seem very happy about it either
best compliment normally is when you stop off after a 'run out' for a shandy and the question is asked cooly.............'whats under the bonnet' to which you reply [pies mode] its standard [/pies mode].
