Speakers that came with TVR

Does anyone know exactly what the speakers were that came as standard on a '99 Chimaera?

I know they are obviously pioneer but I want the specification so I can get some decent replacments. Can anyone suggest some really nice Pioneer speakers that would replace the standard ones.

Speakers installed in my '98 are TS-G1695
Some alternatives gleaned from forum sources:-
Infinity Reference 6502 6.5”
Pioneer TS-E1695 16cm
Pioneer TS-E1795 17cm
Pioneer TS-E1796 17cm

As you can see the model number gives a clue to the size.

Yes indeed! The only real music to my ears is the Thunderous rumble from my new 'resonator' unit fitted by 'Longlife Exhausts' what a noise! it's pure evil!.

Mine's a 1999 and I think it has the original speakers. If so, they are Pioneer TS-G1640, nominal input power 30W, maximum (peak) input power 120W, 4ohm impedance. For reference I think the head unit is also original; it is a Pioneer KEH-P4800R.

It's all in pristine condition, as, if the car has been used properly all its life, none of it will ever have been switched on.

Somewhat late to the party I'm replacing the current speakers in my '98 Chim as the driver side one has died.

They're a pair of Pioneer TS-G1640 30W nom, 120W max, 4Ohm speakers.

It does seem that these were the factory fit.

I have a brand new set of Pioneer GT-1640 speakers that were given to me about 10 years ago.
They have sat in my garage for all that time in a box so if any one wants them they are FREE to anyone who can collect from GU15 1AQ
