At present the car is in the hands of Central TVR in Brierley Hill. They haven't yet given the official estimate to the their party's insurers so one's fingers are firmly crossed. The car was struck from behind so there should be no quibbling but one never knows.

I had a similar thing happen to my Griff a few years ago and it was insured with FJ. Tell them you want to choose who does the repairs, they didn't put up any resistance when I told them this. Get your preferred shop to do the quote (I used Option 1 in Bromsgrove, very good).

The damage from your picture does not look that bad, it will just need a new section grafting in and painting. If the bodyshop is any good you should not be able to tell that it ever had an accident.

From that photo you cannot tell how much of the panel you would need . With damage like that you often get flexing and cracking above the wheel arches and at the hinge mount . Either way it would not take weeks to make a panel .

I'm with same insurer. My car was damaged a while back and was repaired by Hilton & Moss near Stanstead. They made a super job of it, new paint matched well to existing panels, couldn't fault quality of repair.
