Hi. The drivers wiper misses the screen in the centre of its sweep - i.e. just the bit I need to look through. Both ends clear quite well and the passengers side works quite well.

I know the weathers been great lately, but it cant stay like this for ever.

Blades are new (Bosch). Any ideas? Should I bend the central parts of the feet that hold the rubber in towards the screen a bit? I've had a look at the spring but that doesnt seem to offer easy adjustment.

Thanks
SlowRider

Same with mine. I found a coating of Rainex water repellent stuff made a big differnce. It doesn't last that long, but it doesn't take long to apply either. I'd say its definitely worth giving it a try. A few quid at Halfords and 15 mins application the first time to get a good, even layer.

I found a combination of RainX and bending the wipers helped, until I bent too hard and the plastic union snapped.

can i ask what wipers you ask for at your local halfords etc?i got stuck once in the rain when the locating dowel on my one wiper fell out.looking for replacement wiper in nearby halfods,i could easily find a 14 inch blade, but not one with the correct plastic union to fit the wiper arm,so i had to re-use the old faded and probably quite brittle one.any ideas?

Bosch .... bit more expensive, but the fittings worked. I did speak to the bloke in the shop, local small one the bloke's run since I was a kid (not Halfords) and he checked the book and said they'd fit .... lo and behold he was right.

They are just Bosch universal 16" blades, even Halfords should be able to get that right

The cheapest wipers from Halfords work the best because they bend easily and keep in contact with all of the screen all of teh time, much better then the top of the range......

Was at Fernies today and had a good look around a metallic green Griff 500, bloody gorgeous, never really liked green cars, but this was superb!

So who’s the traitor now?

cheers big al.i can thoroughly recommend the griff, but id prefer one in the crimson starmist like your chim-beautiful colour.nearly bought one in that colour, the car was good, but sadly the deal wasnt there, still not complaining as i now have a gem and am very proud of it.
