What octane fuel should I use?

I'm running tesco's finest at the moment, returning about 150-170 mpt (miles per tank) mostly urban 0 to 50, some blast at 80 plus and a lot of fast getaways for fun. will give optimax a try, currently no running probs though CHIMP 4.0 std

I always refill at 200/220mls, using Optimax, costs around 38/40 squid, use Texaco 10/40 synthetic oil, has stayed at same level for 2000mls, doesn't leave soot on back of car and I don't drive like a wuss. Oil press usually 50psi or 30psi on tickover.....she's a beaut!

I've actually run out of fuel at 205 miles in my Chimaera 500. It was on the 3rd tankful I'd ever put in the car. The 1st two tankfuls lasted 220-odd miles. These days I tend to fill up at about 180 / 190 miles to be on the safe side.
