Help me choose!!!
Discussion
Well, the time is getting close, my time of scrimping and saving is almost at an end, and the new age of TVR ownership is almost upon me. My mate has a 5.0 Chimaera which i get to play with now and then and I think it is a fantastic car, but the more we discuss and the more I look at them, the more I am torn between the Chim and the Griff.
Any opinions out there as to what i should go for?? Chim or Griff.....
(separate issue : how long to clean a stepper motor??)

You pays your money you takes your choice.
Drive them both… and many....
Then decide.
I brought a Chim cause I fell in love with it, in hindsight I'd wished I'd driven both, just to get a comparison.
Not just one but the whole range.
Once you’ve done that..
Then and only then BUY ONE!

Its not the size that matters its what you do with it, the boot that is.
and whats wrong with Crunchie's
Seriously, try all the cars and see what you prefere. Me I think the Griff is the best, buts thats just my opinion.

count duckula said: I would get a chim, bigger boot and better looking IMHO
Also I have heard funny stories about griff owners involving tin foil, bicycle clips and a crunchie chocolate bar.
Hope this helps.

Danger Danger.. queue on-running debate for weeks..
Drive them both then Choose.. there is no right or wrong answer.. I love my Chim, however sometimes when I'm in a "drivey" mood I think I should have probably bought a Griff. On the other hand whenever we go away for the weekend I am thankful for the Chims boot and a softer ride on the motorway.
Cheers,
Matt.

had a 4.0 chimaera for 18 months and have had griff 500 for about 8 weeks. In my opinion the chimaera was easier to drive and less tail happy, it has a bigger boot and I reckon it sounded better. However, the griff is much better looking (IMO!) and is definitely quicker with loads more torque. The boot is a bit of a bugger, but you get the hang of it very quickly.
I'd drive several of each and see what you reckon - i think the most important thing to worry about is getting a good one! Other things to consider...there are less griffs around, so maybe prices may hold out longer...you can get a newer, bigger engined chimaera for the same price as an older, smaller engined griff...
over to you - drive some and see what you reckon.
