start me up

out in the chimaera saturday and getting a tad worried.
out of the 6 times started car on 4 occasions turn key and click - NOTHING.
Deep breath turn again and starts no problem.
This has happened when car cold and after run.
Bit of a lottery when you are about to start up in front of 50 hairy bikers at newlands corner and your confidence is beginning to go.

never had problem before until new battery put in couple of weeks ago. ANY CLUES PLEASE

Happened to me last week. She was stalling a bit so checked the stepper motor (which was clean) - she then cut out & wouldn't re-start. Got a new ignition module and ignition coil fitted - now running as good as ever. Very common for said bits to go at around 36k miles and in hot weather apparantly.
