Cooling advise needed please

May '94 4.0lt

Whilst out today the engine temp started to rise into the 100's as the fans are not kicking in. I have checked the fuse/relay and they seem fine. I've shorted the otter switch connection and still no fans.

Does anyone have any ideas/comments before i rip it all to pieces later in the week to investigate?

There's an electrical connection below the rad (passenger side), and it came loose on mine once. Dunno how, but its worth a quick check I guess.

Clean the connections to the fans - 2 plugs & sockets on 1' fly lead from fan motors. At the same time check there is power to the fans (short the otter & switch ignition on) & check the ground (for fans and otter switch).
