Chimaeras can do it in 1
Discussion
Hi all,
Was out on a blast yesterday - car attracting loads of attention as usual, still doesn't fail to amaze me how many heads it turns, and mines a starmist blue too so I can't imagine what owners of red /yellow ones get.
Anyhow, there's a hairpin exit onto a main road from the beach that is really tight at the best of times but today some idiot had parked a volvo close to the exit making it a 3 to 5 point turn job to get out. This was causing major hold ups and loads of sitting traffic.
But with rear wheel drive and stacks of horsepower, a Chimaera can do it in 1. Not a huge smokin' squeelin' rev n drop clutch display but start off and just blip the loud pedal to get a reasonably controlled sedate slide with quite low revs and then off up the hill...in 1 , much to the amusement of all the bored drivers who were waiting to get in and out. We-hey!! This justifies all the doughnut practicing that you can get in at work's car park etc.! Who said TVRs aren't practical....what a design feature!
Some may say it's a bit irresponsible but people expect a bit of a display surely?!
Matt

I always considered, when in heavy traffic, when some people do 3 point turns cos they've figured out another route, applying a lot of power to turn the car round... _but_ it might catch some people out (ie surprise them) and cause an accident, so i just stick to what people expect me to do
