Just bought my first TVR - Chimaera 4.0HC (94 M), which I have found has water coming in to the passenger side footwell from above. I have located the leak to the heater matrix (black box). Does this need replacing or can I join the pipes together and bypass the matrix as has been suggested! Any help would be appreciated! Its only just started when I had all the blowers when I first picked up the car! The joys of TVR!...

I've not had this myself but have read threads in the past which would suggest the normal reason for this is not heater matrix but rain (or washing) water finding its way through the fresh air intake. Do a search. I'm sure there's a simple solution.

Green - ooh dear

Check the pipes are connected properly for starters. If it's the matrix there should be no problem bypassing it (until winter), but make sure you bleed the cooling system properly or you could overheat the motor!!

Good luck
