I know very little about Chims, apart from the fact that the starter motors often go west because of engine bay temps. Does it crank over fast enough?

Strangely, same happened to mine. Turned out it was a bd battery. It used to crank over for longer and longer periods, until eventualy I had to bump start it - not good. But ran fine once started.
