Gearbox query?

How do I know what gearbox is in my 94M 4.0HC? (withing taking it apart!)

If reverse is below 5th on the gear shift, it's a T Borg Warner box. Made by Chrysler I think - but stand to be corrected.

Just been looking at a 400 and it has a Borg Warner Box. What are the beefits. This one needs to be put in 4th before you can get it into 1st..Does that sound like a big problem, or are they quite a stiff box..oo er ..

Better gear ratios,reverse in a different location, stronger box, name is shorter to type (T5 vs LT77), stiffer feel to the change, different bell housing, different propshaft....

Generally the preferred choice but as a 4 litre is not near the power of a 5, probably less important in the overall scheme of things...
